Tanana Valley Fair

Our county fair is in full swing, and although it was cold (50 degrees) and rainy, my sister-in-law Tashina and I decided to brave the weather and go to the fair with the kids. There were quite a few kids rides, but Lily was not tall enough to ride them. So to avoid the crys and screams from Lily, I allowed her and Liberty to ride on two rides. They got to ride on the safari train and the pony carasell. We visited the 4-H barns with all the animals from ducks, rabbits, goats, sheep, cows, turkeys, chickens, horses and pigs. The girls had alot of fun in the petting zoo that they have for the little kids. Lily loved petting the goat and Liberty loved holding the rabbits. All in all it wasn't such a bad day until the end, because it was their nap time and hadn't had a nap all day. So we headed home and put them in bed. Phillip started his 4 day on rotation out at Clear Air Station today, so I have been trying to keep the kids busy so they keep the "where's daddy" questions to a minimum. Tomorrow we are headed to base to go to the community center so that the kids can run off some energy. Here are some pictures of the girls at the fair.
