The cake wasn't anything special this year because of time. But it was really yummy. Chocolate and Vanilla cake with cherry, vanilla, and chocolate frosting.

Updates

Portage Glacier lake.

Alaska mountain range. Southern Alaska has some of the best mountains to photograph.

This picture was taken on our way to see Portage Glacier. I took it while Phillip was driving.

Lily and Liberty at the rest stop. It was a long drive home.

Wyatt at the rest stop.

It got kind of cold down by the water so the kids decided to play in the sand.

Cleaning our clams.

The size difference between the clams. This was the littlest and the biggest one that we caught.

Trying to get a picture of the kids holding their clams. Wyatt didn't want anything to do with holding his.

The catch of the day

Whole family clamming.

Lily putting her clam in the bucket.

Me and my girls in Homer.

Eagle at the beach.

I looked at my blog and noticed it's been almost a year since I updated last. So I suppose I should update to let everyone know what's been going on.
Liberty completed kindergarten in May. She is looking forward to 1st grade and all the learning she will be doing. Lily will start kindergarten in Aug. She a little scared about the change but was a little more excited about it when she found out that she will be going to the same school that big sister will be going to. Lily has has 2 eye surgeries to correct some vision issues and is doing much better. Cheyenne has been potty trained and we are working on the night time potty training, which is going really well. This momma will be happy when all the diapers and pullups are gone. Wyatt has had some issues with large motor delays he didn't start walking until he was almost 2 which made it hard to take 4 kids to the store, but once he started walking he walked for a couple days and now he's non stop running every where. We had Phillip's mom Debbie come up for the summer and we did alot of fun things. We went clamming for the first time which was an adventure. But it makes for the best clam chowder to have fresh clams not canned! We visited Portage Glacier and Homer and camped for a week. Here are some pictures for everyone to see. Enjoy!

Can't Believe He's One!

Wyatt turned 1 on the 5th of June but Phillip was on his 4 day rotation out to Clear so we decided to wait to celebrate until today. I can't believe my baby is one. Time feels like it has just flown by in the last year. I made him a rocket ship cake and we had a BBQ with Rockfish on the grill, hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixings. It was great to spend time with friends. Here are some pictures of all the festivities. Enjoy!

Fishy Lips

The girls have starting teaching Wyatt things. Some good, some not so good. But most of it is really cute. The newest thing has been fishy lips. It's so fun to watch them learn and grow. I still can't believe he will be 1 on the 5th on June. It feels like it has gone by so fast.

Wyatt's 6 month Photos

Here are some of Wyatt's 6 month photos. I can't believe he is 6 months old already. Angela Tritle (the photographer) was commenting on how big he is, and then she was surprised to find out that he was only a little over 5 lbs when he was born. Now he has Michalen man rolls, I told you he would get bigger mom! He has his 6 month well baby in Jan. I will let you all know how it goes. Here are the pictures. Hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did. Angela did an amazing job.

Christmas 2009

I had a professional photographer friend, Angela Tritle, take some pictures of the kids last night. Here are just a couple that she has done since last night. I thought they turned out pretty cute. What do you think? I will post more as she gets them done. Enjoy!

Water Baby

Wyatt is definitely our "Water Baby." When we take him in to the bathroom and take his diaper off, he is kicking his legs and flailing his arms before he even hits the water. I swear he was part fish. He needed a bath last night and decided to take some pictures of him, I think we were more wet than he was by the end of it. He has such a great personality and is so much fun. If I am having a bad day all I have to do is look at him and he makes everything seem so much better. His toothless grin is priceless. We have been very blessed to have him in our family.

This is my favorite picture of them all.

He actually sat long enough for me to get a picture that didn't have a funny or silly face.

He is always smiling at anything and everyone that will pay attention.
